Frequently Asked Question

There's nothing on my monitor, or it says "No Signal"
Last Updated a year ago

  • Make sure the monitor is on. Most monitors will have some type of indicator light to let you know that it is on.
  • Turn off the monitor and the PC and verify the video cable is securely connected to the back of the monitor and to the back of the computer, then turn the PC back on.
  • If your system came with a GPU, make sure you are not connecting the video cable to the motherboard (area near the USB ports) and make sure you are using the GPU outputs. The GPU will be located further down the back of the PC and is usually positioned horizontally.
  • If your monitor was on and you stepped away from the computer, and upon returning, it was black, it's likely that the computer is asleep. Try moving your mouse, clicking the mouse buttons, and/or pressing any key (space bar) on the keyboard to wake it up.
